Peanut Ladoo Recipe
Peanut Ladoo

A very simple and easy three ingredient recipe of scrumptious and full of proteins ladoo which involves just the roasting of peanuts and then grinding it to coarse mixture with jaggery powder.

Care has to be taken while roasting the peanuts. Roast them on low flame and roast them till they turn brown and their raw taste and smell goes away. They should turn crunchy.

Ingredients:

1cup Peanuts

¾ cup Jaggery

2 tbsp Ghee

Method:

Firstly heat a pan and dry roast the peanuts. Do this on low flame and roast them till they turn brown and their raw taste and smell goes away. They should turn crunchy and give a nutty flavor.

Let them cool a bit. Rub them in between your palms and remove their peel.

Now in a grinder jar take these dry roasted and peeled peanuts along with the ¾ cup jaggery powder and grind them to a coarse mixture.

Transfer it to a bowl and add 2 tbsp of ghee in it.

Mix it well. The mixture should be such that if you press a small portion of it in your hand the mixture should be able to hold its shape and should not fall apart.

should hold shape

If the mixture is not holding its shape you would need to add in some ghee. For me the said quantity was enough.

Now grease your hands with a little ghee and start making ladoos.

Take small portion and give them a shape of ladoo. Likewise make ladoos for the entire mixture. It would yield around 10 to 12 ladoos.

I made 12 ladoos of the mixture.

Store it in an air tight container and it would stay good for a week at normal room temperature.

Meetha paratha recipe

Sugar paratha or meetha paratha or meethi chapati is a very easy sweet dish which can be made in very few minutes and without any prior preparation.

For me meetha paratha has always been a savior whenever any of my family members say kuch meetha ho jaye and I have nothing in hand. Same as the other stuffed parathas this meetha paratha is also a stuffed one but with sugar filling. I also add in a dash of cinnamon powder to enhance its flavor and taste. But it is completely optional, you can skip it.

Ingredients: (5 Parathas)

I cup Wheat Flour

Water as required

¼ cup Sugar

1 tsp Cinnamon powder (optional)

Ghee for frying

Method:

We will begin with the dough.

Knead a smooth dough by mixing wheat flour and water.

I always like to have it with some fresh milk cream (malai) with a few drops of honey drizzled on it.

Tips:

Cook on medium to low flame to avoid burning of the paratha.

Add sugar as per your taste.

Do not roll the paratha very thin else the paratha would break and the sugar would come out and get caramelized or even burnt.

Sweet Coconut Balls - Very Delicious And Easy To Make Ladoos
Sweet Coconut Balls - Very Delicious And Easy To Make Ladoos

These are the one ladoos which I am familiar with since my childhood. I not only enjoyed eating it but making these ladoos was also of great fun. Adding different colors to the coconut mixture and then making balls of out it was really exciting. They are so easy to make and also a delight to ones eyes. We can use any color like pink, orange, yellow, green, but add only a bit as we have to keep the ladoos light in color.

Lets have a look at the ingredients and then how to make them.

INGREDIENTS:

1 tin Milkmaid

1/4 kg Dessicated Coconut

1/4 tsp Cardamom powder

4 to 5 drops Orange color

METHOD:

Heat milkmaid in a wok (kadai) and bring it to a boil.

Then add the dessicated coconut, cardamom powder and mix well until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan and becomes sticky.

Turn off the flame. Let it cool for 5 to 10 mins.

Now add 4 to 5 drops of orange color to the mixture and mix it well with your hands.

Take small portions of the mixture and start forming balls or ladoos of it.

Then roll each ladoo in dessicated coconut to give them a beautiful look.

And the Sweet Coconut Balls or ladoos are ready to eat.

Enjoy them with your family and friends and do share your experience with me through comments.
